Senior Associate
Sven Krause has been admitted to the bar as an attorney since 2015. His practice focuses on German and European patent law.
Sven Krause advises and represents clients in patent infringement and validity proceedings before German courts and the Unified European Patent Court (UPC), in particular in the fields of mechanical engineering, semiconductors, IT and telecommunications. Standard-essential patents and the coordination of international parallel proceedings often play a significant role in Sven Krause’s practice.
In addition to his work before courts, Sven Krause has particular experience in the examination, valuation and transfer of technical IP rights in the context of complex corporate transactions.
After studying law in Marburg and Heidelberg and subsequently completing his legal clerkship in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Stuttgart, Sven Krause began his legal career in the technology, media and telecommunications practice group of an international MDP law firm. As of the beginning of 2020, he has been with the patent law team of a major international law firm in Düsseldorf. In January 2024, Sven Krause joined HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER.
