Next Tuesday, March 8th, the world will be celebrating International Women’s Day, a time to salute and show support for women, but also to reflect on how much society still has to achieve regarding gender equality. Unfortunately, we still witness countless episodes of sex & gender, violence discrimination and bias around the globe.
At HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER we want to do our bit and contribute to breaking the bias against women. Therefore, starting today, we are launching two initiatives on our website and on our social media:
- We will be contributing to the dissemination of knowledge about women that have broken the bias by achieving outstanding accomplishments in their respective fields. To that end, we have translated into our local languages the Wikipedia pages of five exceptional women, each representing one of the countries we are present in. Each day up to March 8th we will be releasing a post with a link so you can also learn about their lives and achievements. Follow us in this journey to discover and pay homage to our national treasures!
- On March 8th, we will be joining the UN campaign by posting pictures of our colleagues striking the IWD #BreakTheBias pose to show our public support for gender equality and feminism. We encourage you all to do the same and strike a pose!
