Alexander Bothe advises and represents clients in various fields of intellectual property law, in particular on patent law. His practice focuses on strategic advice and representation in complex national and cross-border patent infringement and nullity proceedings, in particular before the Unified Patent Court.

Alexander Bothe studied German law at Ruhr-University Bochum as well as English and international law at the University of Cambridge. After his bar exam, he pursued a doctorate in international arbitration. His doctoral sudies included a research stay at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C.

Before joining HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER in 2024, Alexander Bothe worked as an associate in international law firms for several years, specializing in data & tech regulation as well as patent law. Inter alia, he represented a US biotech company in the first large-scale litigation before the Unified Patent Court.
